Large Cutting/BBQ Board

This large cutting board is one that you'll love to show off on your kitchen counter or out at your grill.  The board measures 12x18 inches, and is about 1.25 inches thick making it a hefty one.  The colorful board is made with strips of ash, cherry, walnut and maple, and made with food safe, waterproof glue.  It features a juice groove around the perimeter as well as finger recesses under the ends to make it easier to lift.  Rubber feet underneath will keep it lifted off the counter so it doesn't sit in any puddle that might show up while you're working.  The board is finished with a coat of mineral oil which soaks into the fibers, then a mixture of beeswax/mineral oil is applied and then buffed off.  When you're finished using your board wipe it off with a damp cloth and let it dry, never put it in a dishwasher (but a quick dunk in the sink and then wiped off shouldn't hurt it).  When your board starts to look a little dry just rub on a little mineral oil, or a cutting board oil conditioner that you can pick up at your local big box store,
